Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center: China has become one of the top three pork importers in Russia
Since gaining market access in February 2024, Russia has successfully exported nearly 30,000 tons of pork and offal to China, earning $78 million.
This new market has also boosted Russia's pork exports to Hong Kong, nearly doubling its separate supply. Belarus and Vietnam round out the top two spots for Russian pork imports, with Belarus seeing a 14% increase to 65,000 tons and Vietnam experiencing a 16% decrease, importing 59,000 tons.
So far in 2024, Russia's pork exports have totaled around 200,000 tons, valued at $430 million. Long-term projections suggest that by 2030, Russia's pork and pork by-product exports are on track to surpass 600,000 tons.
